Soften the flooring adhesive with a heat gun, while wearing eye protection and gloves.
Once the adhesive is soft, pry up a tile with a knife. Once a tile is removed, removal of subsequent tiles becomes easier.
Stubborn adhesive residue on the floor may be removed either by scraping with a floor scraper. If the adhesive surface is rock hard, then you might want to use an adhesive remover to soften the adhesive and then use a hand scraper.
